Actor and musician Jared Leto is facing allegations of inappropriate conduct from nine women, according to an investigative report published by Air Mail. Some of the claims date back several years and involve alleged interactions with teenage girls, with the women describing Leto’s behaviour as “predatory, terrifying and unacceptable”. The 53-year-old, best known for roles in Dallas Buyers Club and as the frontman of Thirty Seconds to Mars, has denied all accusations through a spokesperson.

One woman alleged that she was 16 when she encountered Leto outside a Los Angeles café in 2006, claiming he initiated contact and later made suggestive phone calls. Another woman, model Laura La Rue, recalled meeting Leto at the age of 16 at a Beverly Hills event. She stated that he flirted with her and later appeared unclothed during a visit to his home. Leto’s representative denied any wrongdoing and claimed La Rue had applied to be his assistant—an assertion she strongly denied.
Additional accounts include claims from women who said they communicated with Leto while underage, with one describing escalating conversations that became inappropriate. When she turned 18, she alleged that Leto engaged in non-consensual sexual contact. Music producer Allie Teilz also shared her story, saying she was 17 when Leto acted inappropriately towards her backstage. She later described the experience as traumatising and accused him of knowingly disregarding her age.

Leto’s spokesperson has “expressly denied” all the allegations presented in the report, labelling them “demonstrably false”. No legal action has been announced at this time, and Leto has not responded publicly beyond the issued denial. The publication of these claims has renewed discussions around celebrity accountability, particularly in cases involving young fans and power imbalances in the entertainment industry.
