Sharon Osbourne, aged 72 and married to Ozzy since 1982, is expected to write the foreword of the book titled Last Rites. The source added that Sharon’s involvement is significant, as it will provide her with a cathartic way to honour her late husband and leave her personal mark on the publication. The book’s release is scheduled for October and promises to delve into the darkest moments of Ozzy’s life.

The autobiography’s synopsis describes Last Rites as a “shocking, bitterly hilarious, never-before-told story of Ozzy’s descent into hell.” It covers not only his personal struggles and marriage but also the triumphant return to the stage for the Back to the Beginning concert. The memoir is described as brutally honest yet life-affirming, showcasing why Ozzy transcended his titles as ‘The Godfather of Metal’ and ‘The Prince of Darkness’ to become a folk hero and a cherished national figure.
