National lottery winner urged to claim £300,000 prize as deadline approaches

Date:

The winner of a National Lottery prize worth £300,000 has been urged to come forward, as the deadline to claim the money rapidly approaches. The victor has just one week left to secure the substantial prize, which offers £10,000 a month for 30 years. The winning ticket was purchased in Sevenoaks, Kent, on 24 October last year.

The prize must be claimed by Tuesday, 22 April 2025, marking the end of the 180-day window the winner has to claim their prize. Efforts are now in full swing to ensure the fortunate individual or syndicate does not miss out on the life-changing opportunity. National Lottery organisers have been working on the streets of Sevenoaks to raise awareness and locate the mystery winner who matched the numbers 2, 11, 29, 37, and 45, along with Life Ball 6.

Kathy Garrett, a National Lottery advisor, highlighted the transformative nature of such a win, not only for the winner but also for their loved ones. “With just days to go, we’re doing everything in our power to make sure this mystery person or syndicate comes forward, so they can enjoy the endless possibilities this prize offers,” she said. Garrett also shared a past story of a builder who found his £50 million winning ticket just before it expired, which had been left in the sun visor of his van.

A spokeswoman from National Lottery operator Allwyn explained that if the prize remains unclaimed, the money, along with the interest it has generated, will be used to support National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. “This will add to the £30 million-plus raised every week by National Lottery players to make a difference in every community across the country,” she said.
