Pop singer Jessie J has announced that there is no sign of cancer spread following her recent surgery, months after revealing she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. The 37-year-old, whose full name is Jessica Cornish, shared the uplifting update on Instagram, alongside a heartfelt message and a photo of her son reading, “mummy’s going to be OK.”

In the post, Jessie expressed her gratitude, writing: “And I am OK, results = I have no cancer spread, happy tears are real. Thank you for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy.” She added that although another surgery is still required, she is focusing on healing and embracing gratitude.
The London-born artist first shared her diagnosis in early June, explaining she had been undergoing tests. “Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early’,” she said at the time. Known for her honesty and humour, Jessie remarked, “It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job,” before announcing a temporary break from performing to focus on her health.

Jessie J, who welcomed her son Sky Safir Cornish Colman in 2023, has faced a number of health challenges throughout her life, including a heart condition diagnosed at age eight and a minor stroke at 18. She has vowed to overcome breast cancer, telling fans at Capital’s Summertime Ball that she would “beat it.” With three UK number one singles and numerous awards to her name, Jessie continues to inspire many with her resilience and openness.
