Beckham Fashion label faces mounting pressure as sale rumours swirl

Date:

Lady Victoria Beckham is reportedly feeling “devastated” and “humiliated” amid mounting financial pressure surrounding her eponymous fashion and beauty label, with suggestions the business could soon be sold for around £350 million. The former Spice Girl has been living in Great Tew, near Chipping Norton, with her husband, former England captain Sir David Beckham, for several years. The couple have settled into life in the Cotswolds, dividing their time between work commitments and maintaining their countryside home, where Sir David keeps chickens and other animals.

Beyond her pop career, Lady Victoria has spent over a decade building her luxury brand, which has become a significant part of her public identity. However, recent reports indicate that the 51-year-old may be preparing to part ways with the venture, despite her deep personal investment in its success.

According to national media coverage, the potential sale—reportedly valued at £350 million—has been difficult for her to come to terms with. A source speaking to Closer magazine suggested that the company’s financial strain has been evident for some time.

“Anyone going through the paperwork can see the pressure the business has been under,” the source said. “It’s not unusual for luxury labels to face challenges, but Victoria’s has been carrying this weight for years.

“She’s heartbroken. The brand means the world to her, and she finds it embarrassing that the struggles are still ongoing, particularly after the documentary painted a more optimistic picture. She had hoped that difficult chapter was behind her.”

The insider added that while the hoped-for £350 million price tag is “ambitious”, Lady Victoria is determined to find a buyer who believes in the label’s long-term future. “She needs the deal, plain and simple,” they said.

Closer also reported that despite injections of capital—over £6.2 million this year from Sir David and private equity firm Neo—the fashion business has yet to turn a profit, with losses widening to nearly £5 million. The Beckhams have not publicly commented on the claims.
