The World’s Best Brands ranking highlights the top brands across the globe, starting with four countries: the United States, Mexico, Germany, and the United Kingdom. In this initial phase, Statista conducted an independent survey of 90,000 consumers from these countries, with Brazil and India set to be added on 2 December 2025. The top five brands in up to 72 categories per country are awarded. Between August 2024 and June 2025, data were collected via an online panel service provider to ensure a representative sample. Respondents were first asked to identify industries and categories in which they had experience, then to select brands they knew (awareness), recognised in the media (social buzz), preferred (likability), used (usage), and would use again (loyalty).
A weighted overall score was calculated for each brand in every category, based on awareness, social buzz, likability, usage, and loyalty. The weighting for each dimension was as follows: awareness 15%, social buzz 10%, likability 30%, usage 15%, and loyalty 30%. In each category per country, the top-rated brand’s overall score was set at 100, with the scores of subsequent brands adjusted proportionally. For instance, a score of 90 represents 90% of the top brand’s result.
