Singer Miley Cyrus has revealed that a video shoot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame may have caused a severe infection in her knee, which ultimately led to a brief stay in intensive care. The 32-year-old American pop star, known for her role as Hannah Montana, lay across the iconic Los Angeles landmark while filming a new music film titled Something Beautiful. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Cyrus recounted how she ended up in hospital around Thanksgiving due to the incident.

Cyrus described how her leg began to deteriorate near the kneecap, prompting medical concern. “The doctor goes, ‘Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?’” she recalled. “And I just saw myself,” she added, referencing the moment in the music video. The singer admitted that the location had not been cleaned prior to filming. “Absolutely not, none of that,” she said, explaining that the production had a limited budget, most of which was spent on wardrobe.
She also highlighted the risks of filming at such a site during the night. “We’ll just go in the middle of the night,” she said of the decision to film without permits or sanitisation. “Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night? I thought it was my last day.” Despite the setback, Cyrus appeared to take the ordeal with characteristic humour, though the experience left her with a vivid hospital memory involving a surgeon declaring her condition “disgusting.”

The music film Something Beautiful accompanies her upcoming ninth studio album of the same name, set for release on 30 May. A song on the album, Walk Of Fame, features US musician Brittany Howard. Special one-night-only international screenings of the film are scheduled for 27 June, marking another chapter in the star’s ever-evolving career.
