Man charged following serious assault in glasgow pub

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault that occurred at a public house in the Shawlands area of Glasgow earlier this year. The incident took place on the evening of Saturday, 1 February 2025, within a pub located on Kilmarnock Road.

Police Scotland confirmed the arrest in a statement released to the press. A spokesperson said: “A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault within a pub on Kilmarnock Road, Shawlands, on Saturday, 1 February 2025.”

Details surrounding the nature of the assault or the condition of the victim have not been disclosed. However, authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing and that further information may be released in due course, subject to legal proceedings.
