The song, taken from her latest record-breaking album The Life of a Showgirl, has topped both the Official UK Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks since its release on 3 October. The stripped-back version offers a more intimate take on the chart-topping hit, highlighting Swift’s vocals and songwriting.

The pop superstar has now spent a total of 38 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 across her career, surpassing a record previously held by the late Michael Jackson, who achieved 37 weeks at the top. The Life of a Showgirl has already broken numerous records, including overtaking Adele’s 25 for the biggest opening week in US chart history. The 35-year-old’s 12th studio album has sold over 3.5 million copies in the US alone, combining physical and digital sales as well as streaming figures.
In its debut week, The Life of a Showgirl sold 2.7 million units within 24 hours, marking the largest single-day sales of Swift’s career. It also achieved the second-highest opening week total since data tracking began in 1991, behind only Adele’s 25. The album went on to set new streaming records, with The Fate of Ophelia becoming the most-streamed song in a single day on Spotify, while the album itself became the most-streamed in a 24-hour period.
