Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters tease potential return to celebrity Gogglebox

Date:

Stephen Graham and his wife, Hannah Walters, have hinted at the possibility of returning to the celebrity edition of Gogglebox. The couple, along with their children Alfie and Grace, previously charmed viewers with their witty commentary during the Stand Up to Cancer special in 2023. With a new series on the horizon, fans are left wondering if the pair will once again grace their screens from the comfort of their living room.

Speaking to The Standard, Graham—currently enjoying praise for his roles in Adolescence and Disney+’s A Thousand Blows—didn’t rule out a return. “Possibly, we had a lovely time doing it. It went down really well. We were funny, weren’t we? Just like what happens in our house every night,” he joked. Walters, who also appeared in and executive produced both series, was more reserved, saying, “I don’t know—if they ask us, maybe? If they want us back, then come and have a conversation.”

Both Graham and Walters have been on a professional high, having starred in and produced A Thousand Blows, a gripping series about bare-knuckle boxing in 1880s East End London. The show, penned by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, follows a group of female criminals, Jamaican immigrants, and a notorious gangster. Meanwhile, their Netflix drama Adolescence—co-written by Graham and Jack Thorne—has become a global sensation, sparking national conversations about online safety and misogyny in schools.

However, not all feedback has been glowing. During a recent episode of Gogglebox, Mary Killen made a controversial remark about Graham, saying, “This is incredible because you know Stephen Graham, that actor who always plays short northerners.” The comment sparked a wave of online reactions, with some viewers calling for her removal from the show. Nevertheless, Adolescence continues to make an impact, with even Prime Minister Keir Starmer endorsing it as a valuable resource for schools. Fans of Graham and Walters are eagerly awaiting news of their potential return to Gogglebox, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
