Rumer Willis has said she is “definitely ready for a partner”, but would rather make pancakes than reunite with her ex-boyfriend. The 37-year-old actress, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, confirmed last year that she and Derek Richard Thomas – with whom she shares two-year-old daughter Louetta – had gone their separate ways. After a year-and-a-half of single life, Rumer is now keen to start dating again.

In an Instagram Q&A, she was asked if she is currently seeing anyone. She replied: “I’ve been single for the last year and a half because I just wanted to focus on work and being a mum, but I’m definitely ready for a partner.” Rumer has given considerable thought to the type of person she would like to date next.
She explained that honesty and good communication are important qualities in a potential partner, alongside kindness, consideration and respect. “I think someone who is honest and has good communication, and someone who is really considerate and kind, and the priority they have for their lives is to be kind, driven, fun and silly,” she said. She added that she now values mutual respect and a relationship in which both people equally contribute and support each other.

Elsewhere in her social media Q&A, Rumer admitted that actor Lee Pace – who is married to Matthew Foley – is her “dream man”. When asked whether she would rather “get back with your ex or make me pancakes”, she simply replied with a pancake emoji.
