Pamela Anderson embraces joyful style with jewellery

Date:

Pamela Anderson, 58, revealed she does not follow stylists and prefers her looks to feel “joyful”. The former Baywatch star, who is a Global Brand Ambassador for Pandora, enjoys accessorising with sparkling pieces but admits she is happy with high street jewellery rather than striving to be like Elizabeth Taylor. She told Grazia: “I don’t listen to too many stylists … it’s always going to be a little bit of a miss with me, but that’s part of my charm. I want it to be joyful. I’ve been accessorising with all the Pandora jewellery, even in the movie [The Naked Gun].”

Pamela credited her mother for inspiring her love of jewellery. “Growing up, my mum was bedazzled from head to toe. She didn’t have money, she had costume jewellery,” Anderson explained. “And I feel it’s nice to work with a brand that’s accessible. Everyone wants to be Elizabeth Taylor, but I’m not, I’m a Pandora girl.” In recent years, she admitted she has embraced a more extravagant approach, “loading up” on pieces she enjoys.

The actress highlighted her favourite item: a pair of diamond stud earrings. “They go with everything,” she said, adding that she prefers a personal, expressive style. “I’m not a real trend follower, and I’m a little rebellious. Wear what you want. Jewellery is a good way to express yourself – makeup, no makeup, whatever you want to do. It accentuates your mood.”

Anderson explained her approach to choosing jewellery each day is spontaneous. “It’s not like you look six months ahead and plan what to wear. You just wake up, look in your closet or jewellery box, and decide this is what I’m wearing today in spite of yesterday. This is a new day. It’s a clean slate.”
