Lauren Jauregui receives Fifth Harmony support ahead of Dancing with the Stars

Date:

Lauren Jauregui has been receiving guidance from her former Fifth Harmony bandmates as she prepares for Dancing with the Stars. The 29-year-old singer, who rose to fame as a teenager in the chart-topping girl group, revealed that Normani and Ally Brooke—both of whom previously competed on the show—have been offering her advice. Lauren described them as “so sweet” and “so excited” for her.

When asked about the guidance she had received, Lauren explained that Normani encouraged her to “have so much fun, take it a step at a time, and just be as present as possible because it goes by really fast.” The singer admitted that her bandmate was right, adding that the experience has been moving very quickly.

Lauren is particularly eager to perform a salsa dance, inspired by her Cuban heritage, and hopes to make her ancestors proud. She explained that she has been dancing salsa with her parents and grandparents at family gatherings for years, but is excited to learn the proper technique for the show. Her professional partner, Brandon Armstrong, expressed confidence in her abilities, noting that this is “her arena” and that he is a “huge fan.”
