Kristin Cavallari has spoken candidly about the birth of her first child, recalling how she felt as though her body was “ripping apart” during the delivery. The 38-year-old former Laguna Beach star, who shares three children — Camden, 13, Jaxon, 10, and Saylor, nine — with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, described the experience on her Let’s Be Honest podcast. She explained that although the epidural relieved the pain of contractions, it did not ease the sensation of her body “literally feeling like it was tearing in half”, calling the birth “brutal”.

The television personality reflected on how she tends to endure pain without expressing it outwardly. She recalled lying silently in her hospital bed with “tears just running down” her face, admitting that she has always “suffered in silence”. Despite the distress, Cavallari expressed gratitude for the epidural, suggesting that the experience would have been even more overwhelming without it.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Jay Cutler has strongly rejected her recent claim that she received “not a penny” from their divorce. The 42-year-old former NFL quarterback, who separated from Cavallari in 2020 after seven years of marriage, addressed the remarks on his Take It Outside podcast. He called her statement “reckless” and “borderline slander”, insisting there was no possibility that a judge in Tennessee would have allowed him to retain all of his earnings from their marriage. He stressed that Cavallari’s business, Uncommon James, was also considered a marital asset.

Cutler argued that their divorce settlement had been properly adjudicated and documented, stating he has a “67-page decree” outlining the financial arrangements. While he declined to provide a specific breakdown, he insisted it was “definitely not zero” and enough for Cavallari to live comfortably. Cavallari, however, maintains she remains the sole owner of Uncommon James and has never relied on her ex-husband’s wealth to build her career or business.
