The album, which included the singles So Yesterday and Come Clean, was originally released on 26 August 2003. Sharing a carousel of promotional photographs from the era, Duff wrote: “Clearly I had to go digging around the internet for pictures from this time as I’m not sure camera phones even existed. Sadly all my hairstyles ARE very documented.” She went on to reflect on the significance of that period in her life, describing it as a “huge change” that had an impact both on her and her listeners.
While acknowledging that some of the songs on Metamorphosis may not carry the “emotional depth” she seeks today, the 37-year-old said her teenage self “meant every word”. She added: “It sure as hell also landed on people at the right moment in time and set me off on a pretty epic adventure.” In her message, Duff also expressed gratitude to her fans, noting that their support helped define her early career.

Concluding the post, she teased the possibility of new music with the words “To be continued…”, accompanied by a line of butterfly emojis. The Younger star, who is married to music producer Matthew Koma, last released a studio album in 2015 with Breathe In. Breathe Out.
