Social media personality GK Barry, whose real name is Grace Keeling, has taken an in-depth look at the UK porn industry in her first documentary project. The 26-year-old podcaster fronts Ladbible’s Faking It, examining what is genuine, what is staged, and how pornography influences attitudes towards intimacy, identity, and self-image among both performers and viewers.

The film follows Barry as she visits the UK’s largest swingers’ club, meets creators from Porn Star University, and learns how performers navigate the balance between their professional and personal lives. Throughout the process, she reflects on her own assumptions about the industry, describing the experience as “eye-opening” and saying she hopes the programme encourages young people to recognise that what they see online is not always the full story.
In the documentary, Barry also explores issues such as body image, addiction, consent, and gendered differences in how these topics are experienced. She speaks with performers Andy Lee and Katie Summers, as well as Josh Lane, a former porn addict who shares his experiences. The programme forms part of Ladbible’s For F**’s Sake* campaign, which seeks to promote more open discussions about sex, relationships, and the long-term effects of porn, alongside calls for improved sex education and government action.

Barry, who is the youngest panellist on ITV’s Loose Women, has built a significant online following, with more than four million TikTok users engaging with her content. She also appeared as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2024. Faking It is now available to stream via Ladbible Stories on YouTube.
