The 79-year-old country music star has partnered with the team behind the Tennessean Travel Stop to rebrand its flagship Cornersville, Tennessee, site under the new name by the summer of that year. Parton explained that she has spent much of her life on the road, particularly on a tour bus, giving her a clear sense of what travellers value during long journeys.

Reflecting on her experiences, the singer said she has visited countless roadside cafés, truck stops and small travel hubs over the decades. She noted that drivers—whether in lorries, buses or cars—want somewhere welcoming that offers a sense of comfort and an opportunity to recharge. She expressed confidence that the new travel stop will help fill a gap along major highways while reflecting the spirit of Tennessee. Danny Nozell, chief executive of CTK Enterprises and her long-time manager, described the project as one that aims to refresh both motorists and the local community.
Nozell added that Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stops will offer more than fuel, emphasising that the initiative is intended to “recharge the spirit”. He said the partnership highlights Parton’s affection for her home state and her dedication to supporting local businesses, communities and the travellers who keep the country moving.

Away from business ventures, Parton has previously spoken about her personal philosophy on happiness.
