Denise Van Outen, the former Big Breakfast host, is releasing her first album since 2003. The 51-year-old has been focusing on her acting and West End career in recent years, but she will return to music this October with A Bit of Me, billed as “a collection of intimate interpretations of timeless songs”. Each track has been reimagined as a beautiful ballad with piano arrangements, warm harmonies, lush strings, and soaring harps, produced by Jamie Sellers, known for his work with Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Flo.

The album features classic songs such as What Kind of Fool Am I and New York State of Mind, alongside iconic pop tracks including George Michael’s Different Corner, Gloria Estefan’s Anything For You, and Brother Beyond’s 80s hit The Harder I Try. Denise has also contributed a brand-new song, the title track A Bit of Me, co-written with Sellers, and the album includes a duet with Blue singer Duncan James, as well as a cover of That’s What Friends Are For. To mark the announcement, Denise released a romantic cover of Benny Goodman’s enduring hit, The Glory of Love.
Denise will support the album with her An Evening With Denise Van Outen tour, beginning in March 2026. The tour promises an evening of music, laughter, and stories from her dazzling career, spanning both screen and stage. Her previous album, featuring songs from the hit West End show Tell Me On A Sunday, was released in 2003, during which she starred in London’s West End. Denise’s stage successes also include Chicago, Legally Blonde, and Rent, both in the UK and on Broadway.
