Date:

Billie Eilish is preparing to unveil a concert film based on Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, scheduled to reach cinemas next spring. The singer, best known for her hit Bad Guy, has co-directed the production alongside acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron. The 3D film is set for release on 20 March 2026.

Eilish confirmed the date during the final show of her 2024 album tour at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday evening. She later posted on Instagram: “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) coming to theatres on March 20th 2026 !!!! This has been one of my favourite tours ever and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. Can’t wait for you all to see it.”

The Grammy-winning artist had previously hinted at the collaboration with the 71-year-old Titanic director. During a performance at Manchester’s Co-op Live earlier this year, she told the audience: “You may have noticed there are more cameras than usual in here.

“Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D. These four shows here in Manchester mean you and I are part of something I’m creating with him. He’s in the audience somewhere, just saying.

“So don’t mind that, and I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for about four days in a row.”

The tour began on 29 September 2024 at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. Support acts across the run included Nat and Alex Wolff, Towa Bird, The Marías, Young Miko, Ashnikko, Finneas, Tom Odell, Lola Young, Syd, Magdalena Bay, Yoasobi, Fujii Kaze and Men I Trust.
