Kerry Katona has spoken out in support of Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham, admitting she feels “devastated” for the couple amid reported family tensions. The Beckhams have lived in their Cotswolds home for nearly a decade, enjoying a quieter life in the countryside with their four children. Their Oxfordshire residence, located near Chipping Norton, has been the setting for many family milestones, including this week’s celebration of Sir David’s knighthood. The former England captain was honoured by King Charles III at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, 4 November, with his family proudly in attendance.

However, one person was notably absent from the ceremony – the couple’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham. Reports suggest an ongoing rift between Brooklyn, his wife Nicola Peltz, and his parents. Katona reflected on the situation in her latest column for new! magazine, saying she would be heartbroken if any of her children missed such an important moment. “It was about time David Beckham got his knighthood. But Brooklyn wasn’t at the ceremony. If that was one of my children, I’d be devastated,” she wrote.
Katona, who is a mother of five, added that moments like these are precious and cannot be regained. “That moment is something Brooklyn’s never going to get back. Your parents aren’t here forever,” she said, sharing her own perspective on family relationships. Despite having a complicated bond with her own mother, Katona explained that she still makes an effort to visit occasionally, adding: “I’ve not abandoned her.”

Reflecting on her own encounters with the celebrity couple, Katona recalled their kindness and warmth. “I’ve met David and Victoria, actually. Victoria sent me some flowers when Brian McFadden left, and I met David at a Spice Girls concert,” she revealed. “They were lovely. Victoria’s one of the nicest celebrities that I’ve met.”
