Hilary Duff has revealed she hopes to “impress” her gay fans with her upcoming music release. The 38-year-old singer and actress is preparing to unveil new material after nearly a decade away from the recording studio. Speaking to Variety, she confirmed: “We’re getting something really soon. I’ve been hard at work in the studio with my husband, Matthew Koma, and a few other amazingly talented people. [My fans] are going to hear something so soon – like in the blink of an eye.”

Duff, who last released an album in 2015 with Breathe In. Breathe Out., said she always intended to return to music but wanted to wait until the timing felt right. “I always knew I was going to return to music,” she explained. “I needed to feel safe, to have the right people around me, and to be absolutely ready. Honestly, I needed ten years of life experience – I needed a lot to say. This album feels like the inner workings of my brain, and I’m so excited to connect with people again on that level.”
The pop star added that she is particularly eager to impress her LGBTQ+ fans, who have long been among her most loyal supporters. “You know it’s all for them,” she said. “It’s just to impress them.” Her comments come as anticipation grows for her first new record in ten years, marking a highly personal and creative chapter in her career.
