Alice Evans has said she is “in a bit of a dark place” following the death of her brother Tony. The 57-year-old actress shared that she is finding it difficult to come to terms with his passing last month and admitted she is struggling to cope with the loss.

Writing on Instagram, she thanked her followers for their support, saying their kind messages had “literally kept me going these past three weeks”. She added that delays in arrangements had left her and her daughters feeling as though they were “in some sort of limbo” as they wait to say a final goodbye. Evans explained that although she has been unable to respond to everyone, she deeply appreciated the comfort she had received.
The actress, who lives in Los Angeles with her two daughters from her former marriage to Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd, previously announced Tony’s death in a moving post. She described her brother as her “best friend” and “the most incredible husband to Rachel”, while recalling the bond he had built with her daughters in recent years through video calls.

Paying tribute, Evans remembered Tony as “the kindest, most loyal, funniest, warm person” and said his absence will leave “a gaping hole” in her life. She also praised Rachel, Tony’s widow, calling her “the most caring, beautiful person” and “the strongest” for the way she has faced such a devastating loss. Evans concluded her tribute with the words: “Tone – I don’t remember life without you in it and I have no idea how to even go about trying. RIP my beautiful, perfect brother.”
