Riley Keough and her husband Ben Smith-Petersen welcomed their second child earlier this year, adding to their three-year-old daughter, Tupelo. The news was confirmed by Riley’s grandmother, Priscilla Presley, who shared her joy with People magazine.

Priscilla, who was married to Elvis Presley between 1967 and 1973, said: “I love her babies. I’m really happy for Riley. She’s got an amazing husband and two great children, so I’m happy for her very much.” She also described Tupelo as a determined and independent child, adding: “She does what she wants. She rules.” Remarkably, Tupelo began talking before her first birthday, pointing out objects and naming them with clarity.
Riley, the eldest daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley, has reflected on her own parenting style in contrast to her mother’s approach. Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she said she aims for her children to find joy in simple activities rather than relying on extravagant experiences: “I really want my children to be able to find joy just playing in the backyard and doing normal kid stuff.”

Despite these differences, Riley has emphasised her appreciation for her mother’s efforts. She added: “I think her intention was really wanting to give everything she could to her kids.” Riley and Ben, who have been married since 2015, continue to focus on raising their children in a loving and grounded environment.
