Sharon Osbourne supported by family following Ozzy’s passing

Date:

Sharon Osbourne is reportedly being supported by her close-knit family in the wake of Ozzy Osbourne’s death. The Black Sabbath icon passed away on 22 July at the age of 76, leaving Sharon “heartbroken” by the loss of her husband of over four decades. A source told People magazine that while Sharon is devastated, she remains proud of the life and legacy she and Ozzy created together.

The couple shared three children — Aimee, 41, Kelly, 40, and Jack, 39 — all of whom have been by Sharon’s side, ensuring she’s not alone during this difficult time. The source explained that while the pain of losing Ozzy is profound, there is comfort in the quality family time they were able to share with him up until the end. The family issued a statement announcing his passing, saying Ozzy was “surrounded by love” and asking for privacy during their period of mourning.

In the months ahead, Ozzy’s story will continue to be told through his final autobiography, Last Rites, due to be released in October. The book is said to offer a candid reflection on both the highs and lows of his life, including the well-publicised affair in 2016 that tested his marriage. According to The Sun on Sunday, Ozzy’s trademark honesty will be preserved throughout, with none of the more painful passages removed or softened.

Sharon, 72, is expected to contribute a foreword to the autobiography. Sources claim she wishes to leave a personal mark on the project, which will also serve as a form of closure. As someone known for her resilience, writing the introduction is seen as both a tribute and a therapeutic gesture, helping her come to terms with the loss while honouring Ozzy’s memory.
