Television presenter Lorraine Kelly has confirmed she is now resting at home after undergoing keyhole surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes as a preventative measure. The 65-year-old, originally from Glasgow, explained that she had “not been feeling all that well for a little while”, which led her to seek medical advice and undergo a series of tests and scans.

In a message to her Instagram followers, Kelly reassured fans that she would be “totally fine” and expected to return soon. She later updated her followers to say the procedure had taken place at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, Berkshire, and that she was back home, following doctors’ instructions to rest and recover.

Kelly expressed gratitude to the medical professionals involved, specifically her surgeon, Mr Ahmed Rafaat, and described the team at Heatherwood as “kind, caring, and gorgeous professionals”. She thanked them for their support during the process. Fellow public figures such as Sir Chris Hoy, Katie Piper and Emma Willis also left messages of encouragement on her social media.
