Laurence Fox has denied claims that he shared a compromising image of television personality Narinder Kaur on social media. The actor-turned-political activist allegedly posted a photo in April 2024 of Kaur, 52, who is a frequent contributor to Good Morning Britain and has previously featured on GB News.

Appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, Fox, 46, of Peldon, Essex, faced two charges under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. The first accuses him of distributing an “intimate” image with intent to cause alarm, distress or humiliation, while the second relates to the alleged sending of an explicit image of genitals with similar intent. Fox, dressed in grey jeans and a light blue shirt, confirmed his name and pleaded not guilty to both charges.
According to police, the charges are linked to an image posted on a social media platform in April. Section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act — introduced in 2023 — covers so-called “cyber-flashing”, making it illegal to send sexual images without consent, either to distress the recipient or for sexual gratification. This follows earlier legislation such as the 2019 ban on “upskirting”, which made it a criminal offence to photograph beneath someone’s clothing without their permission.

Those convicted under these laws can face up to two years in prison and may be placed on the sex offenders’ register. Fox has opted for a crown court trial by jury and is scheduled to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 23 May for a pre-trial hearing. He was previously dismissed from GB News in October 2023 following controversial comments made on-air, and is best known for his role as DS James Hathaway in ITV’s long-running detective drama Lewis.
